Bas drops the official video to “Jollof Rice” featuring Dreamville labelmates EarthGang. This is the first single from his upcoming new project Spilled Milk 1.
Dreamville already claimed 2019 mainly with the success of the collaborative album Revenge of The Dreamers III. The roster certainly shows no signs of slowing down. Bas continues to contribute to Dreamville’s maintaining hot streak with this ode to African women through advocating the popular West African dish.
Bas confidently walks the thin line between seduction and gloating on this track. Earthgang follows suit while being fresh off the release of their noteworthy project Mirrorland. "Jollof Rice" is a charming track with each artist spitting celebratory bars supported by a fun and light-hearted production.
The lively and vibrant track couples well with the colorful video. Bas, EarthGang, and the models are festively well-dressed as the video generates a fashion runway theme with an old school film edit.
"Jollof Rice" marks the beginning of the Spilled Milk EP Series. Bas is planning to release parts 2 and 3 throughout the remainder of the year.
