“That’s On You” is the steadily swaying single from Banff-native Amelie Patterson. This first listen of the folksy, bluesy piece reveals five full minutes of long lasting, high arching notes and repeating chord progressions reminiscent of a vintage musical era.
“That’s On You” opens with the lonely, strong knocks of a kick drum. Alongside Patterson’s vocals is a beautiful mix of harmonics and electric guitar riffs. Her voice is seemingly at capacity with emotion making this the perfect sad song to slow dance to. The single is an installment of Patterson's project The Playlist; a series showcasing volumes of themed singles. Following her debut album Roll Honey Roll “That’s On You” is a great indicator to where Patterson is taking her talent next.
