Xkylar (Skylar Steinberg) is a rising songwriter/singer and producer who draws inspiration from R&B, alt-pop, house, and soul. On her new self-produced effort "Second Chances" she delivers a solemn blend of 90s R&B and modern psychedelia that aims to pique the minds and touch the soul. The record explores doubts that may emerge while being in a relationship and offers an insight into how love changes over time with respect to the individuals involved with each other. The dreamy instrumentation goes hand in hand with the reflective content and makes the listener feel like they are in a room with her as she dreams of a past love.
Steinberg wrote, produced, recorded and mixed the song by herself so besides being armed with soothing vocals, she definitely stays fully hands-on with her music. She currently has one full-length project under her belt entitled 'Emotional.' She will also be performing at Echo Park Rising on August 15.
