After taking a short break from the music scene, Canadian rapper Kordoroy Floyd kicked off the year with a new single “Free” in June. The song is a repeat-worthy record that features fiery ad-libs, multiple wordplays, and a memorable hook that goes well with the beat by Zlender. The positive reception of this single is what pushed him to bring the lyrics to life through a music video, directed by Kevin Wong and Everett Bumstead. Bringing the lines “Gas on E/ Gang with me” to life in the video, Floyd can be seen in a Ferrari with a low gas tank being pushed by friends. The narrative-based video is a thrilling interpretation of the tune filled with visual metaphors.
In 2018, he released his self-titled debut album, which featured notable tracks like "Outta Line" (featuring JAG), "Punch Drunk," and "Calm Down."
