Just months after his sophomore Plan On You EP release, Adam Melchor has dropped the new single “Joyride”. Rich with horn and acoustic instruments, the Los Angeles-based artist introduces listeners to a fast-paced take on his newly found folk genre.

Co-written with Dark Waves frontman Nick Long, “Joyride” shows off Melchor's voice alongside a guitar at the beginning of the song; a familiar sound from his earlier singles like “Real Estate” and “Three Hours Ahead”. However, as the joyride continues, bursting trumpets add incredible texture to the piece as does the accompanying music video. Painted in full skeleton get-up, Melchor is followed closely by a moving camera, which offers a lively yet darker image to the vision of a taking a joyride.

Upcoming tour dates w/ Rodrigo y Gabriela:

July 18th – Jacksonville, OR @ Britt Pavilion
July 21st –  Saratoga, CA @ The Mountain Winery
July 23rd – Los Angeles, CA @ Greek Theatre
July 24th –  San Diego, CA @ Humphrey's Concerts By The Bay
July 26th –  Reno, NV @ Harrah's Reno – The Plaza
July 28th – Littleton, CO @ Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms
