Suns Up sweetly encourage us to "Do What You Feel Like"

Embracing the present and encouraging people to do what they love, the glorious Suns Up boys share their latest indie jewel in the form of the summery "Do What You Feel Like". "With this song, we're saying to people: If there's something you feel like doing today, go do it. If there's something you've wanted to do your entire life, do it, and keep doing, and don't ever stop." Amen.

A classic slow-jam, but sun-drenched nonetheless, "Do What You Feel Like" draws you into a shoegaze daydream. Made for long summer nights and hazy mornings, this track is Suns Up at their very best. Soaked in indie guitars and wrapped in early Swim Deep style psychedelia, the band are truly majestic in their creation of utter indie-pop gold.

The band exclusively tell EARMILK: "At the start of the year, we all decided we were going to do more. New Year's resolutions and all that. We’re halfway through 2019 – it goes quick, but we feel like we’ve done loads, both in and outside of music. For example, David quit his job, bought a pizza oven and has started stone baking pizzas at home. Toby has been taking photos of cool things around the country and he set up an online shop selling his prints. Sam learned macrame to hang plants from his bedroom wall, and Matt proposed to his girlfriend. She said yes.

Do What You Feel Like is about all of these things. We're inspired by the things we do, and by the experiences we've had together. These decisions and these moments can be simple, spontaneous, effortless, like things you wouldn't even remember but they can also require bravery and sacrifice and relentless hard work. Do What You Feel Like is as much about living in the moment and enjoying the present as it is about chasing your dreams, never giving up and continuing to strive to be better and do more.

So with this song, we're saying to people: If there's something you feel like doing today, go do it. If there's something you've wanted to do your entire life, do it, and keep doing, and don't ever stop."

Exploring their sound and creating music that is true to them makes Suns Up one of the most mesmerizing upcoming bands. I salute their ability to bring joy to their listeners through well crafted indie melodies. This is a band that needs to be praised for their tunes. If you haven't fallen in love with these boys yet, then after this track I'm sure you will have.
