Following the success of their debut release with the single "Who We Are" on Defected last year, the S-Men collective formed of house heavyweights Roger Sanchez, Junior Sanchez, and DJ Sneak are now back with their second unapologetic single "Evolution."
"Evolution" is S-Men's answer to filtered funk and contagious groove. With the combo of chunky rumbling bass and feel-good sonic textures weaved by the nostalgic piano lines, the trio conjures a luxurious exposition of the old school elements. The spoken male vocals throughout the track add to the charm. Sneak's dub edit, on the other hand, wraps the track in a warm cuddle, primed for after-hours dancefloors worldwide. The evolved production fully demonstrates that these house pioneers are still at the forefront of today’s scene.
