Los Angeles duo Junaco release their stunningly melancholy delicate single. Entitled “In Between” the track highlights raw, organic soundscapes atop warm vocals and muffled guitars. "In Between" is a narration of accepting the reality of being lost, a feeling we’ve all felt at some point in our lives. The song is produced by Omar Yakar (War on Drugs, Perfume Genius) from Boulevard Recording and follows the duo's debut single "Willow".
Junaco consists of Shahana Jaffer (vocals) and Joey LaRosa (drums, guitars). Born in a mountain town on the outskirts of Northern California, it was there they could escape from the musical norms of a busy metropolis. A flourishing partnership arose, allowing themselves to connect creatively and carefully craft each track without any rush.
Known for their moody, mellow and mesmerizing songs, Junaco writes music sincere to themselves in the hopes others will take meaning from it as well. Junaco’s forthcoming single was set out with the intention to create a work pouring with free expression. Jaffer reveals, “The underlying theme is about coming to terms with experiences and hardships we have faced and finally putting them out there. It’s very healing”.
Junaco hope to construct music that will leave listeners with a sense of connection and closeness. Reminding others of our instinctive human emotions, Junaco’s "In Between" is an illustration of just how similar we really are.
