Just last week, the veteran Atlanta-based rapper Gucci Mane announced that he will be releasing his fourteenth studio album. This week he released the visual for his new single titled “Proud Of You” that is rumored to be on his upcoming project.
We can thank the popular hip hop producer Kenny Beats for bringing the classic hip hop and trap sounds on “Proud of You” that are iconic to Gucci’s hit songs. As far as visuals, the “Proud of You” music video kicks off with the first scene representing all of the wealth Gucci has accumulated in just the past few years. Shirtless and iced out, Gucci Mane stands on top of luxury cars rapping about how his constant hustle in the rap industry has paid off, hence the line “I had the county blues, now every day I'm counting the blues.” The video also includes clips of the beautiful Keisha Ka'oir, Gucci Mane’s wife who is also a successful entrepreneur. The video concludes with shots of Gucci Mane performing in front of thousands of fans at the widely known hip hop music festival Rolling Loud. Ever since being released from his 3-year prison sentence, Gucci Mane has released his clothing line Delantic, lost a significant amount of weight, and has released multiple albums. Overall, the track “Proud of You” is a hit song that highlights Gucci Mane’s accomplishments, reflecting on his sobriety while soaking up all of his monumental success.
Gucci Mane’s upcoming album Delusions of Grandeur album will be released on June 21st.
