Wild Dark take us to a 'Strange World' full of dark and deep house

American brothers Corey and Ryan Negrin, also known as Wild Dark, celebrate their inaugural release on the very auspicious Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings with Strange World EP, which came out last Friday.

Strange World EP features three incredibly authentic deep house tracks. The first, “Mercury In Reverse”, is the perfect opening number featuring soft wavy grooves angelic chords. “Tremble Road” gets things moving with exotic sounding instruments and tribal-like vocals, giving the track a darker mood. Lastly, “The Slide” closes things out with a seven-minute, 120BPM trip with warm synths and organic shakers.

With two decades of DJ experience, Wild Dark have had releases on labels such as Anjunadeep, trueColors and Happy Camper, and have had huge performances at notable events like Robot Heart, Bedouin’s Saga, and the notorious City of Gods Halloween Bacchanal in Brooklyn, NY. Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings (greatest name, BTW) now welcomes the duo for its fourth release in 2019, following Chakra EP by Dee Montero, and Desert Flower EP from Miyagi.

The pair tend to favour an organic approach to writing music and stray away from using digital samples; this allows them to perfectly blend house, techno and natural vocal work to form an eclectic sound that appeals to a sophisticated palate. Strange World EP is a great addition to their library, and is certain to take over after-hours around the world this summer.

Strange World EP is available exclusively on Beatport. Buy it here.

Tracklist:

1. Mercury In Reverse
2. Tremble Road
