The Habits single “Love You” is sure to get any party started and the band has released fitting visuals to match. As an energetic anthem of adoration, the track highlights shining synths, throbbing drums and vibrant vocals oozing with excitement. The video displays your typical party scene, but there’s a twist. The video is designed to make the watcher feel like they are a partygoer too, but through what lens are things really being viewed?
“When we approached making a visual for this song, we wanted to do something simple yet out of the box. The song is upbeat and celebratory, so naturally we thought…PARTY! But, there has to be a spin on this party. With the help of our director/collaborator, Jake Stark, we came up with the concept that the viewer is a part of the party. The twist is, who’s eyes are we watching this through? You’re going to have to watch to find out,” the band reveals.
The Habits met in San Pedro and quickly formed a close-knit bond becoming more like brothers than band members. Comprised of singer/guitarist Wolf Bradley and drummer Andrew Macatrao, they craft irresistible catching tunes juxtaposed with lyrics that tell a story of love, loss, and everything in between. Their distinct alt/pop sound reminiscent of Maroon 5 and Panic at the Disco makes you want to get up and dance while also providing all the feels.
Playing almost every bar, club, basement, and alleyway in Los Angeles, they’ve honed in on their live shows, providing audiences with high intensity and highly skill performances. The Habits have kept that same vivacity going in their video and throughout their debut self-titled EP, which is set for release June 14th.
