ROSALíA is arguably 2019's biggest breakout star. The Spanish artist has broken global boundaries, headlining sold out shows and performing Coachella this year after quickly rising to pop star status in her own right in her home country. This week, on the one year anniversary of the release of "Malamente," the song that launched her internationals stardom, she debuted her next solo effort following her album El Mal Querer, entitled "Aute Cuture."
Clocking in at only two minutes, "Aute Cuture" is an expression of ROSALíA's brand: edgy, avant garde, with an ear to the streets. Horn-driven production is reminiscent of the power behind some of Beyonceé's most powerful music, but with added Flamenco elements, ROSALíA remains in charge. "I'm very excited to share the song, and the video," Rosalía told Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 show on Apple Music today. "You know, like release everything at the same time. Because I think you understand better the song with the video. The video is something that is very powerful. I would say the lyrics are powerful too, and the visuals are very strong. It's about artists, and there's this Tarantino inspiration I would say. Very colorful. A lot of choreography."
