L.A. based band Oyster Kids deliver a bright synth-pop fueled anthem with "Breathe". The band describes the new track as, "Hitting the reset button on your life, and how liberating it can feel". But, honestly, we're finding ourselves reaching for the replay button.
A tight instrumentation, groovy baseline, and a gentle vocal in the intro quickly build into a flourish of pop sounds and an inescapably catchy chorus. The steady percussion on this really keeps your foot tapping along from start to finish and the spiral of synth work adds a delicious texture of sound that's both quirky and playful. "Breathe" is a shimmering balance of alt-rock and electro-pop sound that's prime for heavy radio play this summer.
Comprised of Eapen (vocals, guitar), Jonathan Bradley (drums), Robbie Gullage (bass), and Roy Tanaka (keyboards), Oyster Kids have been hard at work this past year with an upcoming EP and full-length album due later this year.
