Celebrated record label and events brand Renaissance have now released another addition to The ReMix Collection series. "Sacred Cycles" is a stunning rework of Pete Lazonby's 1994 classic, reimagined by one of the biggest names in techno—Drumcode boss Adam Beyer. Teaming up with fellow Drumcode alumnae Bart Skils and Layton Giordani, the trio amalgamate their unique sounds for an insatiable techno hit.
Lazonby's original trance and progressive house classic, is now repurposed with a tougher edge—the dream trio having beefed up the original with an industrialized flair and heart-bumping basslines. Signature Drumcode sounds emerge from the new "Sacred Cycles", robust in its moody ambiance and fuelled further by its swooping synths. Cleverly intertwining spoken word samples from Genesis' "The Fountain of Salmacis", the trio give the track even more of a modern techno capacity, bringing salacious darkness into each drop.
"Sacred Cycles" will be available as a digital download, via streaming, and as a limited-edition vinyl produced as a highly collectable and beautifully packaged box set. The limited-edition vinyl will include Lazonby’s original mix as the B-side. The ReMix Collection celebrates Renaissance's proud heritage which has seen the brand at the forefront of electronic music since its inception in 1992. The concept behind the collection is to put a fresh and exciting take on seminal tracks that are closely connected with Renaissance's heritage. Previous releases in the collection saw Solomun remix "The Age of Love", Tale of Us remix Energy 52’s "Café Del Mar", and Maceo Plex remix Remake’s "Blade Runner".
