Rapper/singer Adrian Stresow just released a new album titled Be Safe Out There. On his most complete project to date he is involved in the writing, production, and engineering on nearly every one of the eight tracks. It sees him bring his established brand of pop rap to a new level. It's a cohesive, more bouncy sound than his previous projects, but never loses any of the depth that makes his music great. In particular, songs like "Us" see him examining himself and his relationships with a catchy chorus. On "Bread Crumbs" he expresses his frustration but details his determination in magnetic melodies. Still, he raps well on "Process." A week ago, he released a video for "See If I Mean It" that highlights parts of his journey over the past year. The entire project is both reflective and future-thinking as he intertwines personal stories and honest bars in what he calls "the most important body of work [he has] ever made."
There aren't many artists who are bringing both bounce and a unique musicianship to pop rap, but Adrian Stresow is doing both well. Check out Be Safe Out There up above and the visuals for the project's lone single, "See If I Mean It," below.
