Glasgow's 80s pop-punk clan Walt Disco share their vivid new single "Strange To Know Nothing". The band, who have recently toured with Sports Team, produce the finest dark synth-based nostalgic creations. Trust me, you'll want to be on this hype.
"Strange To Know" is an iridescent, groovy number, combining angular guitars and an impressive vocal abilities. Channelling a Simple Minds core, the band's androgynous look oozes glamour. A factor that makes their music even more cooler and feistier. Emphasising its 80s inspiration, the track's funky, broody synths and obsessive bass line make Walt Disco a band worth shouting about.
The track is "about the conflict many people have had when they feel stuck in a relationship" admits the band. "The feeling that they should seek excitement from someone else. But there is still something about that love that you already have that makes you feel sexy, freaky and strange…"
