Hailing from Perth, Australia, now based in the techno haven that is Berlin, Tred is making waves with his unique style that somehow weaves breakbeat, ghetto, hardcore and trance together into dark, gripping, turbulent electro and techno productions.
Released on E-Missions, a label founded by P.leone and Caiazzo in back in 2017, Fragments Into Nothing is Tred’s latest cut that’s sure to takeover a warehouse rave near you.
The EP features 3 tracks by the man himself, and a tantalizing remix from Glasgow’s Solid Blake.
The title track "Fragments Into Nothing" is the perfect opening number featuring crunching snares and intoxicating breakbeats topped off with aquatic effects, while ‘The Manitou" is a more raw and sci-fi-ish number that’s giving us 90s-rave-meets-helicopter-overhead. The EP closes out with two versions of "Disconnected". The first, an Odyssey Mix by Tred, is an ambient, spacey number shimmering with ethereal chords. The EP closes out with a slower, grittier remix from Solid Blake, but the entire package remains otherworldly.
Whether Tred’s rare sound brings you back to ‘that crazy night you had at Berghain that one time’ or on an imaginary journey into space, he is undoubtedly one to watch.
