"I can't be waiting on you, I've got better things to do…" Tanika Charles states in a rather matter of factly tone on her new single "Tell Me Something". The Canadian singer/songwriter bares it all over the soulful and vibrant backdrop with an emotion-laden performance. She takes us deep into her current situation ship with a certain individual who is hesitant to commit for unknown reasons but Charles' is getting weary from the merry go round and just wants to know where this train is heading.
"Tell Me Something" is taken from her upcoming LP 'The Gumption', a 12 track body of work produced by a stable of some of Canada’s finest musical minds including DJ Kemo (The Rascalz, Kardinal Offishall), Chin Injeti (DJ Khalil, Eminem, Drake) and Daniel Lee (Hooded Fang, Phedre). 'The Gumption' is the follow up to her Juno Award and Polaris Music Prize-nominated debut Soul Run.
