Swedish Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter OLSSON just released his highly contagious single entitled “Some Summertime" featuring Grant. The track showcases spirited high-pitched vocals sung with effortless ease, striking electric guitars and a hypnotic pulsating beat. Co-written by Peter Bjorn and John's Bjorn Yttling, it’s an entertaining upbeat anthem of letting lose and having a goodtime, not concerned with how you’ll be perceived.
The song is off his LP Tropical Cologne, which took shape during a period of exile in Berlin where OLSSON worked tirelessly in Studio A at Tempelhof, the closed down airport from 1923. He continued to work on the LP at his studio in Stockholm at the Swedish collective INGRID (Lykke Li, Peter Bjorn and Miike Snow) and finished it during another excursion to a French mansion on the outskirts of Bordeaux.
OLSSON has found success in his career collaborating with prominent artists such as Charlie XCX, Jacob Banks and Mapei. Fusing danceable indie-pop with a touch of R&B flair, Tropical Cologne is a feel-good triumph that excites fans of LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip, while constructing its own originality. Check out “Some Summertime” out now.
