Growing up with the electronic scene in Glasgow, Chris McFarlane, better known as Big Miz, has an exceptional grasp on the pulse of house. We don't really need much more convincing to believe that he is an undeniable up-and-comer from Glasgow's talent pool with his slew of records on landmark underground labels such as Dixon Avenue and Defected. His latest, International Swayers Anthem, is out now on Monki’s &Friends label with Amsterdam talent William Djoko on remix duties.
The original version might not be the peak-time climax track, but it surely will have everyone scrambling for the track ID on the dancefloor. Driven forward by its chirpy percussion and a bouncy bassline, the cut is giving out a laid-back vibe. However, the vocal nuances and sax-like synth notes add a classical twist. The William Djoko Rave In 98' version is tailor-made for any warehouse parties. Speeding up the underlying drum patterns and deploying an extra layer of menacing synth sound riffs and a sprinkle of techno, William Djoko brilliantly made an infectious heavyweight stomper that will rock the whole room from beginning to end. Grabbing you by the throat, the rework bathes you in a consistent supply of energy that makes you feel your adrenaline coursing through your veins.
