Worlds new and evergreen have collided in a new collaborative EP from techno stalwart Alan Fitzpatrick and rising duo of the moment CamelPhat. The UK artists have released Kona/Liberation via We Are The Brave Records, offering two tracks with two different outlooks and all of the dance floor direction.
If you attended Coachella this past weekend, you might have heard the lead single "Kona" played out a few times in the Yuma tent or DoLab. Incorporating new twists on classic tech house elements, its swirling bass is inviting and lovable. "Liberation" takes things later into the night, with a more minimal, laser focused techno elements and an acidic through line. Both tracks speak to each artist's style, as a great start to a new collaborative effort.
