Oh My My gets down and dirty in “Leave You at the Bottom”

Oh My My, the moniker of Bad Pony guitarist Sam Thomlinson, is proving his chops as a world-class producer on new single “Leave You at the Bottom”. Switching hats from Bad Pony’s clean indie rock sound, Thomlinson has found his solo stride in the realm of dirty synths and moody dance beats.

On the latest track, Thomlinson pairs his dark pop grooves with vocalist Sam Phay’s tender falsetto. Together they create a surreal tension of glitter disco highs and the catharsis of the cold morning after. Phay says it's about being stuck between nostalgia and reality, “misremembering the past and realizing that some things aren’t meant to be forever."

Oh My My first started out as a bedroom project for Sydney musician Thomlinson. Now it has grown into an EDM pop monster of its own. “It’s been such an amazing, fulfilling and exciting experience, that it’s no longer a project that I’m doing on the side,” says Thomlinson. “I spend most days writing and working on new songs. I’ve also got a live band together and we can’t wait to play our first shows this month.”
