Walla C returns with his highly anticipated EP Daylight. The five track journey is filled with electro, broken beats, and experimental production, all whilst paying homage to his Brazilian heritage.
The EP is inspired by Walla’s intimate understanding of Brazilian rhythms, jazz, funk, and samba. The track "Malagueta," which is the Portuguese word for a household Brazilian chili, opens the EP with progressive melodies and percussive baile funk vocals. His unique sounds are further influenced by his desire to experiment with song structure and synth lines, which makes the perfect soundtrack for chilled bedroom afternoon sessions.
“The sounds are designed to be uplifting and the rhythms are upbeat. People can take whatever they want from the EP as long as they feel happy after listening to it,” says Walla.
Walla is a Brazilian Melbourne-based producer known for his complex live performances driven by the Roland SP555. His clever combinations of original beats and reworks of contemporary classics has quickly built him a solid reputation as one of Melbourne’s most inventive fresh producers.
