Le Boom tell it straight on "Be There For You"

Irish electro-pop duo Le Boom have long been revered for their eccentric live shows, recently appearing at high-performing festivals such as Primavera and Electric Picnic. This year the duo, comprised of Aimie Mallon and Christy Leech, is ready to take on their next creative challenge- releasing their debut EP, All My Highs.

It's a delicate undertaking for a duo that has spent much of their career spreading their music and sound through live shows, relying on the reciprocative energy of a willing crowd. But with the first release "Be There For You" Le Boom manages to masterfully emulate the soul of a live performance in a single track.

"Be There For You" is a sharply mixed synth-pop tune that highlights the duo's most sacred talent – creating an entire vibe out of simple synths and instruments. The production is kept alive with incremental layering of sounds that pays tribute to the duo's evolution on stage. But the smooth, breathy vocals are never overpowered, lulling us into a reverie of head-bobbing melodies.

Aimie and Christy are not the first talent to come out of Dublin, and when asked about how the city has shaped their music, they affirm that "being in Dublin gives you constant inspiration for writing and producing. You feel like you are part of a creative community that is bigger than just you." Their debut EP All My Highs drops May 3, and you can expect a departure from their usual party anthems, as explained by Christy: "Le Boom have been known in the past as a band with a big live reputation, which is great, but we wanted to make this EP something that you could just listen to chilling out at home as well as dance to." Don't worry, they're not abandoning their life on tour just yet. This year Le Boom will be headlining Thousand Island in London, along with appearances at the following shows:
