bdrmm gives us a little piece of chillwave "Heaven"

bdrmm delivers another hit with their latest single "Heaven." The combination of raw emotion from Ryan Smith's lyrics and the dreamy synths make you feel like you're floating. The band channels the shoegazer vibe in the best way, comparable to artist such as The Cure and Washed Out in the best way. The concoction of distorted guitar, beautiful synths, and fuzz vocals make for a great song that will really make you feel like you've gone to heaven.

What makes the song so special is the layering of the guitar alongside the synth. Both of them playing on top of the other creates a wonderfully layered effect and makes for a charming chorus. On top of this, the deep and low vocals from Ryan Smith mixed with a heavy reverb leaves you clinging to every word.

The lyrics for this single and relatable and are the result of astute introspection. "'Heaven' is for everyone who deserves an apology, but knows they won't get it" explained Ryan in the latest press release. This feeling is captured not only in the lyrics but sonically. The entire song gives you the feeling of longing for an apology that will never come, the music giving you that feeling of a bittersweet hopefulness.

In addition to lead singer and guitarist Ryan Smith, the band also has his brother Jordan Smith (bass), Joe Vickers (guitar), Daniel Hull (synth and backing vocals), and Luke Irvin (drums). Make sure to catch bdrmm in the next couple of shows they're playing in London, U.K.
