Vampire Weekend's music video "Harmony Hall", directed by Emmett Malloy, dropped on Wednesday and has the fans talking. Full of glee and charm, the boys seem to having the most possible fun over breakfast with some cameos from friends of the band, Dev Hynes, also known as Blood Orange, and actor and director, Jonah Hill.

The wide-angle video was shot over 35 mm film and features various cuts like a python sliding along the blueberries, pancakes, and kiwis as the lads mosey around the kitchen. Director Emmett Malloy and his brother Brendan also directed the videos for Vampire Weekend's "Giving Up the Gun" and "Holiday".

So, what has Vampire Weekend been up to?

Six full years have gone by since we've had a Vampire Weekend record. Six. Well, to kick off the New Year, the band announced two singles, "2021" and "Harmony Hall". As well, the title of the upcoming fourth album was announced, Father of the Bride. The album will consist of 18 songs and will be there first recording under Columbia Records and Sony. It is the follow-up of the band's Grammy Award-winning album, Modern Vampires of the City.

Frontman Ezra Koenig, has been working on this song as far back as 2015 and has been open about the research and writing of this LP on his Instagram. This track was produced by Koenig and producer, Ariel Rechtshaid. Former band member, Rostam Batmanglij, also has production credits on "Harmony Hall" despite no longer classifying as an active member. Fans may recognize an interpolation in the song with a familiar lyric from "Ya Hey",

"I don't wanna live like this, but I don't wanna die."

Koenig answered many of the fans questions below last month via an Instagram post about their upcoming music.

"Harmony Hall" has peaked on the US Hot Rock Songs at #5 on Billboard. Next month, the band will release two more singles off Father of the Bride. Until, then "Harmony Hall" and "2021" are both available for purchase and streaming on all digital platforms.
