In the throes of winter, we all tend to get a little nostalgic. Los Angeles-based electronic duo Cherry Beach has harnessed that melancholia to create "Easy," a spellbinding new single released via AESTHETE. Check out the exclusive EARMILK premiere below:
"Easy" is a warm future pop jam that moonlights as a poignant slow-burner. The nuances of Cherry Beach's smooth production, highlighted by crisp guitar plucks, expertly pitched vocal chops and gooey synths in the chorus, glide seamlessly under the aching vocals of Elle Winter, who absolutely slayed the topline. The duo shared, "We love how the song is reminiscent of carefree times when things just felt… easy and It also relates to meeting that certain someone who just feels right being with." Winter's lyrics are more wistful than they are rosy, however, exploring the frustrations of being in a toxic relationship with a belittling partner. "
All in all, the lyrics are meant to leave a taste that hearkens back to simpler times as they float eloquently through the track's pristine future pop arrangement.
