Released this Valentine's Day, UK singer-songwriter and producer Rex Orange County explores the dynamic evolution of romantic relationships in his latest track "New House".
"New House" alludes to the struggles people face upon navigating the world as an independent individual. Rex sings about the uncertainties that exist within his relationships. The song blends delicate piano melody as some light string plays and is contrasted with a more techno underlying beat.
Since this is his first song release since 2017, fans have wondered where he's been and when/if he will come out with another project. Many presume the break was for mental health reasons. Rex took to Instagram, "I must confirm that I still love doing this and that I'm beyond grateful for all the support I've been shown. Life is good. I'm happier today than I was the majority last year." His next show will be at Lollapalooza Berlin on September 7th, 2019.
