FEET deliver well-crafted British satire on 'English Weather'

Is there anything more British than talking about the weather? Well, Coventry's newest indie outfit FEET are doing just that on their Pulp-inspired single "English Weather".

Bemoaning the typical yet expected weather in the UK, "English Weather" is quintessentially British. Not only are their jangly guitar licks remarkable, the boys provide solid advice for spending the day outside in the most unpredictable climate – "you better pack an umbrella".

Written during their "Barn Sessions" – the band set up camp on a farm in Bedfordshire over six weeks in order to focus on writing and rehearsing – FEET have developed the perfect hybrid of indie and neo-britpop on their latest release. Defying any single genre and blending a variety of elements of each, FEET's sound is a whirlwind of well-constructed noise, adding spice to their intricate retro vibes.

Birthed out of Coventry university, the five-piece's injection of Johnny Marr inspired riffs into their infectious DIY sound caught the ears of YALA Records founder Felix White (of The Maccabees); it's a sound which also earned them a support alongside indie guru Declan McKenna.

Experimenting with their personality, "English Weather" is the ideal introduction to one of Coventry's best exports since The Enemy, it's simple but enthusiastically energetic and a pure piece of indie gold.

Currently recording their debut album, FEET are also heading off on tour across the UK before their record lands this summer. Head to a date below they blow up.
