Quelle Rox joins the millennial cult of exhaustion in "Tired"

The Brooklyn-based lo-fi singer and producer Quelle Rox (a play on her real name Raquelle) is so tired of being treated poorly, and she's not afraid to let you know. Her newest self-released single "Tired" is a lush follow-up to her hazy debut track "Dream Daisies." Both tracks tackle a melancholic subject matter, which Quelle Rox infuses with serene vocals and dreamlike production.

Quelle Rox takes it slow on "Tired," a track with an understandably sleepy melody that uses a hazy soundscape to its thematic advantage. While the cryptic lyrics drive the track (most notably, the refrain of "I'm so tired,") it's more personal than meets the eye. She said the track is "about realizing that someone is draining your energy. I think sometimes we can grow comfortable in toxicity and it's important to just do you and acknowledge that if it's exhausting, it's probably not the right move for you." Mixed and influenced by fellow Brooklynite Huck, the mellow song is also influenced by Clairo and Toro y Moi, among others.
