James Supercave have released their six-song EP entitled Alarm Will sound. It’s the group's first collection released since their 2016 LP Better Strange, and is accomplished psych-pop with alternative sensibilities. Taking their sonic style in a neo-soul direction, the EP features a unique blend of modernized electronic sounds showcasing striking hi-tech synths and intense pulsing rhythms. Each track highlights its own distinctive quality, but all coming together in a cohesive electric groove. With effortlessly glossy high-pitched vocals, each song oozes with intense energy and definite attitude.
The EP starts off with the title track. The song features a captivating up-tempo, melody and soothing, shimmering electro soundscapes. Building up to a chorus of flawless falsetto, this infectious hooky track sucks you in from the moment it starts.
