The songwriter, vocalist, and producer formally known as GDNA has resurfaced under a new alias, Space Monk, a few years ago and has since taken his sound into much more ethereal and soulful terrotories, invoking a more free-form, stream of conscious type of songwriting. Late last month, the artist released his most compelling project yet in the form in the '5683 EP', an eight track new age soul oddyssey that has Monk utilizing his vocals in inventive ways, often shifting from singing into a poetic rap prose mid verse atop of the nebulous production.
