Thurman Junior is a young rapper and songwriter hailing from Albany, New York who just released a short EP titled ' Fire & Desire'. The EP is made up of 3 various tracks that display the budding artists' versatility. From trap, R&B, and boombap, Junior pens down his most heartfelt lyrics without pulling back from emotion in this latest work of art. Hit play below:
The opening track "Waterfall" is a laid back R&B/hip-hop record where Junior exudes a sultry sensitive side as he croons to his significant other. The second song which is the title track borrows the same instrumental from Cormega's "Legacy" and similar to the aforementioned song sees the rapper reminisce on life while paying homage to his long term friend and music producer 47.
The concluding track "3 am" has a dark, solemn vibe and centers on Junior's love for a special lady using metaphors with hopes of her understanding the magnitude of his feelings towards her with lines like "…We making history with the chemistry we have…". The emotions come pouring in on this one but the million dollar question remains, Will she ever know how much she means to him?
'Fire & Desire' is short but serves as an interesting introduction to the man known as Thurman Junior.
