Ed Banger Records is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a special edition release of 27 of its most classic tracks reimagined by Parisian orchestra Orchestre Lamoureux. The label – created and helmed by Busy P, the former manager of artists like Daft Punk and Cassius – has made its way with an impeccable array of taste and sophistication in its A&R tactics in signing music. And with greats like Breakbot’s "Baby I’m Yours," SebastiAn’s "Embody"and Justice’s "D.A.N.C.E" performed by the 70-piece orchestra, the release is a reminder of the label's legacy. We are also reminded of the future led by the label, with many of the songs having years in age but still remaining contemporary in today's performances.
The performance at the Grand Rex in Paris took place in March of 2018, and conducted by Thomas Roussel, a close friend of Busy P himself. Aside from the YouTube video of the performance, Ed Banger 15 Ans is also available in a limited edition vinyl alongside its digital and CD versions.
