Following their two debut live shows at the 2018 Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), Dutch live duo Lukas Amer and Sjoerd Huissoon of Amy Root have released an exquisite collection of original productions, wrapped up neatly in their newest EP Lynn. With a plethora of influences guiding their path and their background of being classically trained musicians cementing their roots, Lynn is a perfect showcase of their blooming, lush soundscape.
Characterized by tight emotive beats, exhilarating harmonies and diverse global influences, Lynn is an exploratory experiment befitting to them. Unafraid, the duo utilizes instrumentals from Japanese drums, Bulgarian choral music, South African percussion and more, adding a unique twist to dance music. Notably, Lynn is a new way of experiencing music, each track a visceral narrative both colourful and melancholic.
