Kelsy Karter is the essence of rebellious rock 'n' roll in “God Knows I’ve Tried”

With bluesy guitar riffs and emotive raspy vocals, Los Angeles based blue-eyed singer, Kelsy Karter bares it all in her latest single, “God Knows I’ve Tried”.  The stunning and poignant song conveys a message of longing to fit in with society’s ideal of what’s right and moral but ultimately accepting her true self.

With influences such as Sam Cooke and Mick Jagger, Karter succeeds in crafting a vintage yet modern soulful rock ’n’ roll sound. Carrying around a switchblade, she’s the epitome of cool and the true definition of a rebel. Steering away from the pack, Karter creates her own lane with a powerhouse voice and a ‘devil may care’ attitude to match. Though she may not always feel like she belongs, her music lacks no shortage of confidence with her gritty, edgy style.
