Richie Blacker hears 'Voices In The Echo' on Of Unsound Mind [Premiere]

Since Skream founded label Of Unsound Mind back in 2014, it's been home to releases from some of the greatest up and coming talents in his sights. With no rules except authenticity and originality, the imprint has slowly become a favourite across club dancefloors and festival stages. Alongside Skream himself, the label has welcomed Jamie Roy & Citizenn, Hot Creations favourites Waifs & Strays and Bristolian house talent Eli Brown.

Releasing his Crayon Muncher EP on Of Unsound Mind in February this year (winning the non-existent EARMILK award for best track name with "Your Ma Loves It So She Does"), Richie Blacker makes a return to the label with new three track EP Voices In The Echo.

The Belfast born DJ and producer's third EP on the label is just as impressive as those that came before it. Title track "Voices In The Echo" opens the EP – melodic, progressive and intricately woven with ethereal vocals, sounding like an already well established house anthem despite its infancy. Switching up the sound completely and at points sounding like a synthy 80s tv show soundtrack, "Solar Jellyfish" is the techy, acid tinged offering taking the EP a bit darker in its middle sitting. "Charlie E" closes the EP, again utilising the acid sounds, strange vocals and almost disco feeling vibe to create a real dancefloor roller.

Richie Blacker's Voices In The Echo EP is out on 14th September and available to pre-order HERE
