Black Girl / White Girl (Ty & Karin) are the dutch DJ and production duo who hold their highly regarded place in the scene after international recognition from standout releases on Relief, Roush and Resonance. With previous releases gaining support from the top of the game including Seth Troxler, Pan-Pot, Latmun and Green Velvet, they've also graced the decks at clubs from their home city of Amsterdam to Tel Aviv's esteemed The Block.
The girl's latest release on Kittball Records headed up by Juliet Sikora, who also provides a remix for the package, is a three track EP that encompasses their ability to create club tracks that build an atmosphere on the dancefloor. With tech house under more scrutiny than perhaps it has been in previous years, the title track "Fat Soda" opens the EP with something that instantly feels fresh and different – a serious, thumping, bassy groove meshed with classic sounding vocals and hypnotizing synth stabs come together to form a peak time number. "Decisionz" also keeps the bassline bouncy and teams it with another epic vocal cut, but takes the vibe a little bit deeper and darker than it's predecessor. Juliet Sikora's remix of "Fat Soda" is the EP closer, working in powerful drums and twisted synths to the chopped vocal.
Black Girl / White Girl’s ‘Fat Soda’ EP drops on Kittball on 17th August 2018.
