Serious philosophical question for all of EARMILK’s avid readers out there: Can PREP make a bad song? Honestly, it doesn’t seem like it. The four-piece London crew makes cranking out airy pop hits look easy, which is why you should check out their Cold Fire EP if you haven’t already. From start to finish, top to bottom, it’s a good time. And, in celebration of their upcoming remix EP, the guys have released a video for title track, “Cold Fire.”
“Cold Fire” follows a young man on his day out somewhere in South Korea. It’s a pretty easy going video, warm and upbeat, not unlike the sound playing in the background. Our hero cruises around town and eventually meets up with a lady friend; clearly the subject the “cold fire” refers to.
Honestly, if this song doesn’t get you grooving, it’s hard to imagine anything will, especially towards the end of the flick. Around the 4 minute mark, Korean singer, DEAN pokes his head in to add a few extra silky layers to the mix and damn, does it work. International musical collaboration for the win on this one.
