The Sorority is a Toronto based hip-hop quartet made up of pHoenix Pagliacci, Keysha Freshh, Lex Leosis and Haviah Mighty. Formed in late 2016, the group has gone on to release their debut project quite recently titled The Pledge. Today, they release the visuals for their summery funky track titled "Wildin' "
In the newest video, the quartet delivers their own take on relationships that seem to be going nowhere in particular. Teaming up with producer and artist J.O. Mairs, this track gets a bouncy, head nodding backdrop to lay the foundation for each member's vivid account of past encounters who are definitely not "the one."
pHoenix Pagliacci's kicks off the record about a guy who is attempting to cut shows with her on the DL while still carrying baby mama issues. Keysha Freshh follows with a verse about an overly clingy dude who has no concept of personal space or discretion. Lex Leosis and Haviah Mighty both give their own take about overly obsessed and an uninterested guy respectively.
The video was shot by Pericoloso Productions who carefully follows the concept of the song to the letter. Each member is placed in their own situation as the story unfolds leading to a car reunion among the group. Overall, it definitely has a unique vibe behind it as we get four completely different takes on the issue. Keysha who is credited for coming up with the concept of the video adds "…I think the comedic tone in the visuals makes the song as a whole, that much better. The relationship between lyrics and what's happening in the video are spot on…"
"Wildin' "is taken from their recently released LP The Pledge. Stream/Download the single here and Purchase the Limited Edition Vinyl of the LP here
