Singer-songwriter Audri delivers a mesmerizing ode to the summer on her newest record titled "Midsummer". The acoustic guitar driven record is an intense love story, a bittersweet trip that is both simple and gripping.
Inspired by the summer season in 2016, Audri's passionate lyrics serve as a romanticised memoir that deals with the universal theme of falling in love during the summertime. The arrangement is built off a gentle guitar ballad, while Audri's emotion-laden vocals deliver an encapsulating performance that instills a warm nostalgic vibe to the overall track.
The video was shot in Brussels Belgium, by the young and talented directors/filmmakers Michiel and Ammen. The duo use their hometown of Brussels as the basis of the clip because of a certain personal history there. Using shots of various people doing what they love or just being self-appreciative of themselves, the clip takes on a life of its own. Explaining the meaning behind the video takes away the magic, just keep in mind that love comes in any format or formula.
