Leuca and frequent collaborator Mike Green are looking to provide the soulful, pop vibes for the summer with the first single from their forthcoming EP Don't Tell Me What to Do. The new single titled "Right Now" is infectious and will have you singing along before you finish your first listen.
"Right Now" is an upbeat cut with a somewhat light dance vibe thanks to the pulsating knock and is filled with resounding keys. As you get towards the end of the track, the guitar solo will have you head over hills. Mike Green's production is the perfect playground for Leuca's velvety smooth vocals to do what they do best.
In describing the creation of the song, Leuca shared via email:
"I was literally in that position of uncertainty, in my feelings, so I just wrote how I felt and made it catchy. I oversimplified which I wasn’t too used to. Mike had been on me about my writing and I feel it was the perfect fusion of our sounds. I brought the idea to him from a voice note on my phone and he literally flipped the idea, which was at first a slower ballad type song, to an upbeat dance track. Turned out to be a hit in my opinion.”
It’s safe to agree that these two have struck gold with their new single. While we wait for the collaborative project between Leuca and Mike Green – Don't Tell Me What to Do, bump “Right Now”.
