In February 2018, YUMI made her debut with a cheery future pop single entitled "Sirens," whose allure from production from Olmos piqued immediate interest in what she had to show next. Nearly four months later, she's returned with a new single "Ego Boost," out via her current label Dim Mak, a formerly mostly EDM label that's looking at new fresh talent like hers to expand its creative offerings.
YUMI succeeds in just that, providing some real authenticity to her pop-electronic crossover tunes. In "Ego Boost" there is a sense of laid back sensibilities, but with real intention. The single comes paired with a video delivering the same message.
