Serious Klein gets gully over a grimy breakbeat as he delivers the visuals for "Coochie Money."
Serious Klein shows he knows what time it is on the gritty "Coochie Money". The talented emcee takes it back to the backstreets with graphic lyrics and confident, tongue-twisting flows. The topic at hand is a mix of flossing/verbal gymnastics about money, women and partying but done in a very different manner. His breath control and mastery of staying in the pocket of the beat makes for a very engaging listen. You can also tell he is influenced by the cats who came before him when the chorus is a slight nod to the classic N.O.R.E/Neptune jam "Nothin". If you were wondering who crafted the 90s styled backdrop, well we need to give props to producer Another Name for that.
As for the visual, Dominik Wieschermann takes a different approach to things as he puts Klein in various situations from him working on his craft, to praying in church. Feels like a young man seeking to find his way out of the darkness and confusion. Buy / Stream the record here
