Soul diva Shirley Davis returns to the forefront with the backing of the renowned funk outfit The Silverbacks on her latest record titled "Wishes & Wants"
The British-Jamaican singer is turning up the proverbial heat in the kitchen with this rousing blend of soul, funk music tinged with elements of afrobeat. "Wishes & Wants" is an excellent display of Shirley's passionate vocals that exude a heartfelt longing and joyous celebration. The seasoned singer brings forth an emotional tugging melody laced with poignant lyrics such as "...A want is a hope, that you never you never got…A wish is a dream, that will never will never last, A wish is an act, shows who you really, you really are..."
