Jesse Welles says of his new single "Rock N Roll" that it is "an apathetic sigh- a realization that the system’s broke, the dream’s a nightmare." It's a profound quote, which I believe sums up "Rock N Rock" nicely. Welles' voice resonates throughout the tune, which has a bit of an old school rock feel. It also conjures up grungy vibes from the early 90's.

Nirvana was Welles' first musical inspiration at a very young age. When he heard the song "Lithium" for the first time, he remembers exactly what he felt. “I heard this American just barely getting through the lyrics and I was like ‘OK. This is cool. I can do this.’  His new LP Red Trees and White Trashes, is continuing the legacy of his musical hero. In the past, Welles has opened for Royal Blood, Great Van Fleet and played festivals like ACL, Bonnaroo, Governors Ball and others – Welles will be touring heavily over the next few months. Check out his future tour dates below.
