The duo GeeJay made up of Gina Jane and Jacob Lobo kick off their 2018 musical campaign with this enthralling piece titled "Direction". The record is a solid blend of jazz, soul, and hip-hop. Lead singer Gina gets ample time delivering her emotionally drenched vocals that tug at your heart. Her commanding vocal delivery cascades the piano-driven soundscape with such intensity and passion as she sings "...which way should I go, which way should I stay? How does one know if it's what I should do?..."
The Sonny Jake directed visual on the other hand is as abstract as abstract gets. Marrying scenes from nature and an unknown female figure who plays the central role, the video strays from the norm and we are still figuring out the connection between the field of cows and the song itself. Well, we don't have all the answers. The North London based duo are currently working alongside veteran mix engineer Mo Hausler ( Chaka Khan, One Direction) for their debut EP 'Thru Channel'.
