Optimystical is a hip-hop and indie rock group made up of Tom Clifton (guitar/bass), Lyle Begiebing (production), Keynan Willis – aka 'NutterTut' (rapper) – CaraN (classically trained pianist and cellist) and Gilbert Orrantia . The multi-talented, genre fusion band are scheduled to release an upcoming EP but in the interim, they gift the listeners with the blues-inspired track off the project titled "Away". Backed by pulsating electric guitars, a mellow bassline, and percussions "Away" is a pure showcase of their unique style. Keynan Willis lead with his emotion-soaked vocals as he sings his pain away over the lush and engulfing backdrop.
"Away" is the second track that adds to the wide range of sounds that can be found on Optimystical's debut EP 'Smile and Wave' which is set to be released in 2 weeks (March 28th). Following a warm reception of the band's debut single, momentum from recent live performances (including opening for national touring act Curren$y), and an official video release, the time is now for Optimystical.
