A four-piece band with a spry energy, The Hubbards effortlessly combines the universal trepidations of the early twenties with indie pop tones. Comprised of Reuben Driver (vocals and bass), Alex Green (guitar and vocals), Ronan Burns (guitar), and Joe Orlowski (drums) the UK band just released their newest single and video for "Your Love Your Love (Your Love)."
The magic of "Your Love" comes in the taut spring of the vocals and the young spirit of the writing. Notes are inflected thoughtfully, and the single embodies the everyman energy that should be driving love in your twenties. The falsetto hit on the chorus is as impressive as it is infectious, and as the boys are master songwriters in the making, the track evolves into a necessarily catchy love song right as spring is breaking. In tandem, the video is nicely self-deprecating, and proves the band has no interest in taking themselves too seriously on their road to success.
