100% Electronica label head and synth-pop producer George Clanton has a new EP on the way, and has shared the first single from it today, called "Make It Forever".
It marks a more raw, powerful turn for the electronic musician, as an attempt to recreate his insanely fun live shows on record. "More than anything I've released before it, this song attempts to capture the high energy of my live shows," he said via email. "I wrote it specifically for the stage because I wanted another banger to crowd surf to. For this song that meant a lot of primal screaming along with the chorus."
Clanton certainly delivers on "Make It Forever", spinning a song filled with warped synthesizers and in your face drum breaks. The intoxicating track is equal parts chill and raucous, the warm synths contrasting nicely with the passionate shouts. The song's hook is incredibly engaging, and plays perfectly into Clanton's sensibilities, reminding us why he's one of the artists on the forefront of the synth-pop game right now.
